Care & Maintenance: Pump

NOTE: Pump Tubing should be replaced every 50 to 100 cases.

Problem Does not rotate.
Solution
  1. Check the pump tubing – should have talc on it and no kinks.
  2. Check rollers wheel that is flush with body and tight to the shaft.
  3. Open pump. Press the foot pedal check its indicator that it goes to Aspiration position. If motor does not run now, it is defective.
  4. Run motor with full speed. Grab the knob to stop motor, then release it. Must restart, otherwise it is too weak.

Problem Noisy.
Solution
  1. Apply tiny drops of WD-40 between the rollers and the wall. On Manual mode ART Secondary Flow may equal 0. Turn it off.
  2. Apply tiny drops of WD-40 between the rollers and the wall. Check if pump touches the cover, if so - relocate the cover.

Problem Bubbles.
Solution
  1. Was the set-up done properly? Re-prime.
  2. Inspect the cocoon – replace if worn out.
  3. Inspect hand-piece O-rings and rear connector.
